I must have been a Junior in High school, when the Roc-A-Fella artist went to Hot 97 and did there thing on Funk master flex’s radio show with one of the best posse freestyles on Flex’s program. I knew a kid in school that could get any mix tape so i asked him for the freestyles i heard on Hot 97. i still have the c.d., Cipha Sounds has shared with the world video footage of the entire thing, and is releasing them in 7 parts. “Electric Relaxation”

While I work all night tonight ,this track will be on repeat on the Ipod. Tribe were bridging the gap before it was the in thing to do. They were one of the first groups that I took notice to, that used real instrumentation to rap. You could hear guitar, bass, and a brass section.“Electric Relaxation” to me best represents this.
