Being a reader of this site, and in turn, a dear friend of mine, I’d imagine you love the Ultimate Warrior too. So let’s take this moment and enjoy some of his best qualities.

His Mythology

The Warrior (pronounced “woya“) is a truly original character. He is beast of a man who comes from a long line of Woyas fueled by his fans’ (also known as Woyas) energy. Now his mythology is about some long-ago-written scriptures or prophecies or something I really can’t pin down. It’s more or less nonsense.

His Entrance Music

Let’s face facts, for a wrestler, few things are as important as entrance music. The Ultimate Warrior’s theme was incredible. The second you heard the first note of the chugging guitar, you knew that shit was gonna pop off!

He is Batshit Crazy

Let’s face it. We all stole the secret Halloween makeup stash and did ourselves up as the Warrior and pounded the crap out of our little brothers after screaming and yelling about genocide and rocket fuel and gypsy minstrels who prophesied the second coming of the Woya.

Bonus Reason: He practices Bushido

He will join a kindred spirit, a fellow warrior destined to do battle in the arena of the Gods.

Nike Air Force 1 Supreme “Staten Island Borough Edition”

Staten Island version uses a mixture of navy blue, orange, and white. The same setup was applied – white tumbled leather on the toe box and side panels, navy blue wool-like material on the remainder, and orange carpet-like Swoosh. Similar to the Swoosh, the inner liner and trimmings also come in orange. The white midsole also sports orange visible stitching so to come up with balance and contrast. The insole reveals a geometric design that spells out Staten Island.

In conjunction with the World Basketball Festival, Nike Sportswear is connecting the Five Boroughs of New York City in a celebration of its iconic Air Force 1 sneaker. Nike Sportswear has chosen five ambassadors from each of the five boroughs. The Five Borough ambassadors include rapper, songwriter and producer Theophillus London from Brooklyn; up and coming rapper Miss Banks from Harlem; Rapper and Young Money record artist Corey Gunz from the Bronx; Format, a BMX lifestyle store and crew led by Nigel Sylvester, from Queens; and from Staten Island— host of the longest running show on WSIA in New York, Emilio Sparks. Each ambassador will document his or her memories of growing up in each borough in unique pieces of content.

The Tangga House by Guz Architects

This house is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional courtyard house , planned around a central green courtyard with a double height stair and entry area forming the focal point of the project. The L shaped plan creates open spaces which encourages natural ventilation. Lushly planted roof gardens surround the house and add to the effect that nature is evident in every part of the house. The oversized roof over the courtyard creates an indoor and outdoor space leading to the gardens, and swimming pools, which wraps around two sides of the house. The house is located in Singapore and is perfect for the hot tropical climate.

For Fall|Winter 2010 the famous italian luxury brand Prada, Presents the new “Prada Fantasy LookBook”, mixing real life photography and images of models and clothing with illustration art. The LookBook was produced and directed by OMA (Alexander Reichert & Fausto Fantinuoli), with photography by Phil Meech. Dope Right.

H&M 2010 Fall campaign

For H&M’s younger and more casual line, Divided Models Abbey Lee KerShaw, Karmen Pedaru, Patricia van der Vliet, Bastiaan Ninaber and Josh Beech are featured in its fall 2010 ad campaign shot by Daniel Jackson. The campaign shows some of the key looks and items offered in the divided line. Some of the pieces are currently available in H&M stores and the  rest will be soon to come.
