Many have no clue as to what to make of the hybrid artist known as ASAP Rocky. The Harlem bred emcee that is known for being more UGK than Cam’Ron is swiftly building a following. His ASAP crew (an all names start with ASAP) is more of a collective that branch out and handle their business resourcefully. Intriguingly, he is named after Rakim by his parents. With such a legacy being broached upon him, there has to be some tangibility to all of the hype. After signing for $3 million dollars to RCA, people are going to wonder if LiveLoveA$AP is going to really show and prove. After giving it a thorough listen over the past few days, I can attest: musically, this kid has the “it” factor.
