Acapulco Gold Spring 2012 Lookbook

The New York-base brand, Acapulco Gold drops off more spring goodies for the fellas. Here we have some sweatshirts, point shaving coaches jackets, tees, snapbacks and fitteds. In addition, Acapulo has added Japanese selvage denims and utility chino pants (tiger camo above) to their spring collection. AG gets two thumbs up from me because the line is pure tropical heat, the graphics are clean and it’s affordable. Males have no excuse for looking turnt down this summer. My favorite peice hands down is the Hawaiian 6 Panel Snapback. All items are available now online here and at select retails.

Nemo Achida Performs Candy & Flowers w/ Charly & Margaux (Video)

While in Austin, SXSW Nemo Achida teamed up with Jam in the Van and Charly & Margaux for a live performance of “Candy & Flowers” a new track off his Goodbye Brooklyn Extended album. Live strings over everything! Enjoy.

Defam Nation S/S 2012 Lookbook (Video)

The folks over at Defam Nation headquarters in Massachusetts shipped over their Spring/Summer lookbook, A Lesser Individual. I am not quite sure what the collection will include besides crispy white tee because I got lost in the awesome cinematography. But we shall see this Friday, April 13th at www.defamnation.com.

Focusing on the underlining beliefs of lower democracy and worship of power, ‘A Lesser Individual’ speaks for those that left the everyday to embark on purpose. Seeing through the conspiracies that lead to false dictatorship and retaliating to gain proper leadership. The cause embedded within transparent figures, represents an evil that is contained within us all.

Street Soccer: New York (Trailer)

Street Soccer: New York is an independently-funded documentary film about camaraderie and overcoming incredible circumstances to achieve one’s dreams. It’s the story of 12 homeless men as they prepare for the 2009 Street Soccer USA Cup. The film shows how sports can change people’s lives and it highlights the effectiveness of the Street Soccer USA organization, which helps the homeless get off the streets, find jobs and reconnect with family members. Watch the trailer above.

The men in this film are an inspiration and represent an entire population of homeless people in America. This film will shatter your judgments of the homeless and how to address the problem of homelessness. .

We need more inspiring films like this to get the upcoming generation, our youth motivated. So go go go, send money!

Freshjive “The Naked City” Spring Collection

Freshjive Spring 2012 collection is naked and fresh. The the 2nd delivery just hit the net so I decided to compile my favorite looks and pieces. I dig a man in stripes, cool lightweight shorts, sweats, sweaters, graphic tee’s and short-sleeve button downs, long too. Freshjive provides the men with all their spring essentials. It’s all about keeping is simple yet fresh this Spring. I say ditch the camo shorts and the solid black and grey v-necks and go for some sewer shorts paired with a clean but not over the top graphic tee or striped tee.

ERIMAJ: Live At The Loft (Video)

ERIMAJ blesses the loft stages with some funky soul and jazz for episode 22 of Live At The Loft. T’was a bomb show and I must say “Social Life” was my favorite selection of the night. Shouts to Heineken for keep the brews coming. Enjoy this A+ groovy footage.
