Fresh Daily comes with his latest offering. With support from Foot Action and Converse, it seems that Fresh may be on his way. The cosmic funk and lyrical acrobatics are profound on this album. I think many will enjoy it if they can get into the ill stuff. That’s pretty much my perspective.
Month ago the homie Roger over at The Masked Gorilla blessed me with Queens Kids a track from Bryant Dope. The joint has been in rotation on my radio show since. So its only fitting I share his mixtape with you loyal readers.
Yeah, yeah: day late and dollar short? Who cares. I had to post this one. And best believe that I will have a review in a day or so. Right now, though…this is for those that frequent Emilio Sparks on a daily. If you don’t have the album already, what are you waiting for? Download it, people!
Big K.R.I.T. has garnered much attention since dropping KRIT WUZ HERE a couple of years back. While many thought that he was a UGK clone, I realized that he was a Mississippi boy with something to say. Next thing you know, he released Return of 4eva. After that, it was a wrap. He was the “it” artist on the underground. His legend spread and so did his bank account and responsibility. As we await his debut (Live From The Underground), he chose to satiate his fans with 4eva N A Day. If this mixtape is any indication of his music’s ability to evolve, then we are in for some treats in the future.
Giving this a chance. So far, so good. Not legendary. But it is well put together. I can roll with this. I wonder how this will grow on me though? Most albums rarely do as long as I give it a thorough listen. Guess I need to give it some time to marinate.
This mixtape is pretty damn dope. This is something I must admit. Whether they are using original beats or recently “used” stuff, Swerve and SYG bring what they need to bring: dope music. Listen down below, enjoy, and download it for yourself. Thank me later.
Nutso gets the stamp of approval from DJ Envy and DJ Whoo Kid who combine forces to present #BANGTIME. Ive said it before and I will say it again, Nutso is classic queens. The dude got bars and the line up is heavy. Blow up featuring Nipsey Hu$$le and Iyaz knocks…Just saying.
Vice City Life is 13 tracks by Marcky Goldchain, has one feature which is Phil Ade, I thought was cool. I laughed when I heard the Martin Lawrence intro. Good Girl Gon’ Trill is a bit Drake’ish for my taste but over all Vice City Life is a solid project. Give it a listen.
Las Vegas emcee, Sean Rose has come together with The DJBooth and C’est La Vie to bring his latest street release, “OVERDRIVE.” The project features 14 original records with features from Gilberte Forte, Marsha Ambrosius and Erick Arc Elliot.
Come celebrate Valentine’s Day early with Charly and Margaux, the trill violinsit and violist. The duo will be performing this Friday, January 27th at Recoup Lounge in Manhattan (LES) with their new Berklee alum band. Enjoy a nice evening of live music, originals and covers of popular love/hate songs. I’ll be there all they way from Massatusetts so you know it’s about to be a bomb show. And as I always say “Everything is better live!” Live bands, whaaaaa (20 greater than signs)!
Here it is, Joe Cool’s anticipated Cooley Hi! sponsored by LRG. Don’t sleep on this project, Joe really got my attention with his video to I Wanna Sell Drugs. Fame has been on repeat all day.
