24 Hour Karate School has to be fabulous. The first few cuts that has been heard/seen has been nothing short of that smooth ish. Ski Beatz has to make sure that this one is just thoroughly done. All through away tracks need to be left on the cutting room floor. Yeah, I said it. Concentrated heat.
So, this engaging artist is signed to The Fader’s label and is being produced by Pharrell? Oh, my. So far, this is sounding like some overtly positive, soul soothing stuff. I am LOVING it. Point blank, period.
Oh, and if you feel extra supportive right now….purchase the single on Itunes.
I think people tend to forget about the prolific genius that is Danger Mouse. Hooking up with Jack White for this song only provides more genius for us to lust after. I am estatic to hear such goodness in VIDEO form. Its a CARTOON at that. I wish others would take notes: go against the grain every now and then.
I feel the Beatles would be proud of this video. Paul White, releasing a visual for a track off of his UK Rapping With Paul White album, goes the trippy route. If it reminds you of an acid trip gone right (or rogue). I can get into this video. Most people that stay inebriated can too.
The ever entertaining Jean Greasy (Jean Grae) and Mela Machinko team up to make….Hellpit Faeries! And I know Christmas was yesterday, but I was too busy sipping on Remy and Coke to care. Plus, I don’t work weekends. Therefore, I am posting this right now. Damn, if you don’t find this funny I question your sense of humor. Seriously.
For all Star Wars and Bape fans out there, get your money ready: They are joining forces. I don’t know who will be more exciting: the fashionably conscious or the bootleggers ready to take advantage. Whichever comes first, this will be genius in marketing if this is taken full advantage of. Seriously. All they need is some dedicated fans to clamor over this (along with a few celebrities) and this will sell like hotcakes in a third world country.
Anthony Bourdain’s television shows are entertaining his books where a great read so its only right he gives us his take on a myth associated with the holiday.
Google image search Krampus you will shit your pants. I think using the Krampus to discipline your children around Christmas is way more effective than, saying “Santa is gonna bring you cole”.
Did you notice the picture of Pope Benedict XVI in a cowboy hat and Bourdain’s face in the moon?
We all know that on Nostalgia Ultra, Frank Ocean redid “Strawberry Swing”. Yet, it begs the question: who had the better song. And no, just because one artists was the originator doesn’t mean they made the better song. That’s like saying the T-Model Ford is better than a Honda.
People are raving about this new album by The Roots. Personally, I think that it is a substantial album that separates them from the rest of the hip hop conglomerate. Here is part of what I have to say…
Exerpt:
Redford Stephens must have had an uneasy life. Well, at least that’s how the Roots make it seem. If you don’t know who Redford Stephens is then, don’t worry, the Roots will get you well acquainted with his story. Redford’s fictional, yet so real, story is the subject of Undun. One just hopes that people actually pays attention to the story of urban melee that is depicted within each song.
