Yasiin Bey appears in a video launched today demonstrating the Standard Operating Procedure for force-feeding prisoners on hunger strike at Guantanamo Bay. Mixed emotions about his reaction, do you not think he dramatized it a bit? He is right its a very disturbing feeling.
Just watching this gave me a panic attack. Im not educated on the matters associated with Guantanamo, so I really can not formulate an opinion on force feeding. Maybe just showing the crazy way that people treat people will make people get educated on social issues.
Last week we previewed some portraits of the infamous Lo-Life crew at their fourth annual Easter gathering at Macy’s. Today we premiere the video that captures that event, which brought together generations of Lo-Life members all about that Polo Ralph Lauren, Double L life.
Watch above as we speak to Lo-Life godfather Rack-Lo about his crew’s beginnings, what it means to be a Lo-Life, and of course see members dipped in their Easter best.
Man, who the fuck cares what those rap clowns think. I’m glad I have Dead End Hip Hop to entertain me with the foolishness that IS Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. It is shock value bullshit. That is all that it is. Want to ban them? Do it. I hope they start making better music. Personally, I’m not here to hold them accountable for SHIT. My way of holding them accountable is not listening to their music if I don’t like it.
I know many of you either do, or don’t, have a true connection to the dj’ing culture. However, being who I am, this type of stuff gets me excited. Personally, this is something I love because I used to go crate digging with my best friend. He was a DJ (and still should be) and it had been on ever sense. I miss crate digging. This reconnects me to my musical past.
Above is DJ Numark (Jurassic 5). Below are others. Come cruise with me.
