Well, this is that energetic type flow coming from K.R.I.T. I see that a lot of his songs will be uptempo. I don’t mind that. I know some of his stuff will NOT be uptempo. So, it is pretty cool to welcome that balance. This goes hard regardless.

It’s been quite sometime since we’ve heard from this musical maestro known as A.Chal. The purveyor of mind-blowing visuals and genre bending mixes shares with us an impressive new ensemble today titled “Paid in Full.” It opens up with the infamous Killa Cam quote from his acting debut on “Paid in Full” with a Trina sample that got the screw treatment quite nicely. In the meantime, it also appears his debut project Ballroom Riots is in its final stages so expect that soon and check out the latest mix to hold you down for now.

Joey Bada$$ performed his first headlining concert at Knitting Factory on Friday April 27th to a SOLD OUT crowd of all ages. The young Brooklyn crew delivered a memorable first concert, declaring “The Return of the Beast Coast. Joey Bada$$’ “1999″ project will be released June 12th.

Joey and his crew have an energy that I haven’t seen in years. I have seen Bada$$ rock and its all energy, plus the kid can rap. Not to have an age restriction but when you in Highschool you have such a zest for this music shit that you can do backflips and not skip a beat. I miss them days, I don’t have that energy no more. Hmmmm. Now THIS is the Goodie Mob that I remember. That soulful funk reeking through the speakers. That “everyman” approach to making music. I wish their lyricism was the way it was (days of old). Then again, we will see what occurs from all of this music making.

Oh. Well, damn. These guys spent their free time recording free music. This gives you an understanding behind some projects that are put together. Some things are about taking months to craft perfection. Others, however, are about seizing the moment. This is the latter.

And to think, this song included my favorite line off of his album. You know: “the only time you ever was hot/when your pops shot you out of his cock”. Yeah, that line. Made me laugh hysterically. The video’s concept is dope, too. Don’t sleep on Torae, people. He’s extremely dope.

SL Jones is back in the building with his second single from his collab project. DJ Burn One, of course, is on the track. SL Jones still keeps it street. With such funk in the background, he can’t lose. Rather, he better not lose.
