Video: Amazing by Kanye West (Sid Sriram Cover)

Over the past year I’ve fallen in love with Sid’s voice. He’s done cover after cover with impeccable talent and he shows no signs of stopping. This time around he’s backed by a small orchestrated band which only amplifies his amazing talent. Directed by Sergio Ensico; check of Sid Sriram’s take on Amazing.

Bank Heist- Kevin Hart movie promo

LOL! Kevin Hart replays scenes from the classic Quentin Tarantino movie “Reservoir Dogs” to hilarious contingents. Mentions of man laws, arguments over names, and even references to other movies make this hilarious. Sometimes, if you do a parody, you have to be funnier than the original. This one wins in spades. Laugh At My Pain is in theaters September 9th.

The ILLZ – Los Angeles (Existen)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I have to give praise to The ILLZ and his team for consistently managing to create stories with their videos ans his lyrics. I think the best type of MC is that of a storyteller, someone who can captivate my attention with his words and his delivery and hands down without question that is The ILLZ.

Up top, we’re given the lastest visuals which is about loss. The nightmare has ended, but is replaced by a cold reality that is not much different. A letter proves the pain is in fact real, the separation is definite, that she is now ‘dead and gone’ to him.

Yelawolf – No Hands

Shame on me for seeing the title of this video and immediately thinking of Waka Flocka. I shake my head at my damn self. Shady Records representer Yelawolf drops off new visuals of his latest single off his forthcoming album Radioactive. What  I thought was cool about this video was that it was inspired by video game Driver San Francisco. And it’s always great to see Yela doing this thing, been a fan of his for a while now; proud to see how far he’s come.

Kid Cudi – No One Believes Me

You know what? This is actually a refreshingly dope video. Conceptually strong within its vampiric aspirations, Kid Cudi made this song for the Fright Night remake that is coming out soon. I hope that the movie is just as good as this song. Yet, something about remakes tend to disappoint me.

“Filmmaker” – a Short Film About Martin Scorsese.

If your an avid listener to my podcast (its an orgasm for your listening holes) you will know that our announcer Bob has worked with Martin Scorsese on many films.

Marty as Bob like’s to call him spends the night drinking with a gun on an abandoned film set where he contemplates the murder of the studio head who is forcing him to cut the end of his masterpiece “Taxi Driver.” Based on the infamous Scorsese rumor. Here’s Quentin Tarantino on an Infamous Martin Scorsese Rumor.

Red Tails (movie trailer)

Why I hope this movie wins:

1.) It deals with the Tuskegee Airmen.

2.) It has a nice cast that will assure that the acting won’t be second rate.

3.) George Lucas.

4.) People need to understand their history…..black, white, or whatever.

5.) Did I mention the Tuskegee Airmen?

Ecology of Love

This is some sort of mini movie starring Pharrell Williams and Dania Ramirez. Shot in 2004, it has resurfaced for our viewing pleasure. The acting is good and not weighed down by a silly script. The viewer is left to draw their own conclusions about what is happening and why. Is he hallucinating? Why isn’t he with his other chick? Look and see.

Ice Grill USA DVD…..one you need to see….

The man is back from his vacation in St. Thomas! Did you miss me? No? Oh, nevermind.

At any rate, my Ice Grill USA dvd came in the mail. I must tell you, this is a riveting tale of money, murder, and meyhem all wrapped up in a cast that defies, defiles, and redefines urban and racial overtones. The visuals may remind you of The Wire with less bloodiness. However, the story is one that is based on the lives of actual people….which makes it even more crucial for the viewer. This is an independent must see. Trust me!

I strongly urge you to download her project right here if you haven’t done so already, I literally can listen to it from beginning to end and replay it again and I have self diagnosed ADD so..that says a lot.
