After establishing themselves in the underground hip hop scene as creators of the “Clubhouse” (a musician and producer collective in an old Victorian style house in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn), A VA VA started as a small side project of the larger hip hop group, Recess. The trio finds it’s influence in everything from hip hop to indie rock, and quickly wrote and recorded their debut release. A VA VA consists of Andrew Reid on bass and vocals, Cooper Heffley on drums and Jay Jennings on keys and trumpet.
