As part of the lead up to the World Basketball Festival, Nike Sportswear is connecting the Five Boroughs of New York City in a celebration of hoops, culture, and its iconic Air Force 1 sneaker. Episode 5 features Emilio Sparks of Staten Island: host of the longest radio running show on WSIA in New York, The Emilio Sparks Experience, and known to some by his nickname, the “Charlie Rose of Hip Hop”.
This was an honor and a privilege (thanks Gary & Alexandra). When you get the opportunity to show off where you come from its a big deal. I LOVE STATEN ISLAND, and I hope from watching this you love Staten now. There are a lot of good people that live on this Island, that really represent the goodness of what a Staten Islander is all about. NEVER be closed minded and assume other wise. Always be proud of who you are and where you come from. STATEN WE DID IT!!!!
There are a lot of great cameo appearances in this… Shouts to all who have helped me and to all I have meet in this journey thus far. Thanks to BB Gun for making me look remotely interesting lol
