I’ve just recently started listening to Devine but I really dig homie’s aesthetic. He’s consistently put out quality tracks and projects, so he gets my full support. Says Devine regarding his latest release, The feel of the original, Street Dreams, sounded like a gangster movie score. I wanted my version to sound like a hip hop movie score. Something that could have fit in the film Brown Sugar. If Nas was a gangsta in “Street Dreams” I wanted to sound like a prophet in “Soul Dreams”. – DC
