It’s common knowledge that I am a huge Sylvester Stallone fan, most if not all of my twitter followers know that I will watch any, if not all, of the Rocky films every other day or once a week; some times twice in one sitting.

You might think the Rocky franchises is some what cookie cutter, or that Rocky/Stallone is a punch line, a character with in a character, a cartoon buffoon. If you do, I hope you bursts into flames and catch syphilis simultaneously.
Without turning this into a biography about Stallone’s work or trying to get psychological, there is a Rocky in all of us. A character that embodies the conflicting sides that make up every guy. The romantic, the warrior, the dreamer and the destroyer. Underestimated and misunderstood.
The reason why there is such an appeal for Rocky is the way the character has an innocence. Rocky talks as simple as a child but there are chunks of wisdom in his dialog.
Hands down, the greatest movie of all time is the original Rocky. Rocky is a story about a guy who is just trying to get something out of life. He knows he is a ham & egger. Then it’s a love story where he falls in love with a women that is lost like him. Next thing you know you’re in a damn sports film and at the end of the fight he doesn’t care that he lost, he cared about two thing: going the distance & Adrian.
Moral of the story: the opportunity to be a lot better than you thought you could be is within everyone’s grasp. Your goals are your goals so achieve them.
