James Blake, the king of post-dubstep, is one of the most acclaimed artists of 2011. While already successful in the UK for songs like CMYK, he became internationally known with the release of his self titled debut album. This week, he revealed his latest project – Enough Thunder. The EP drops on October 10 and will feature six songs. One of them being his recent collaboration with Bon Iver, “Fall Creek Boys Choir”. Also included in the EP, is the Joni Mitchell cover “A Case Of You”. Listen to those tracks below.
I think a lot of people aren’t quite hip to Bon Iver and that’s okay, maybe today this post will sway you to press play and you’ll be carried away by the sweet serenity of the melodic band. Holocene is a very calming track whose visuals depict a boy discovering nature. Don’t forget their self titled sophomore album is in stores now!
Do you guys know the original I Can’t Make You Love Me? By Bonnie Raitt? It’s one of my favorite songs and probably one of the most repeated songs I play when I go through a break up. Go ahead, you can judge it’s fine. Bon Iver does an amazing job with the cover and in case you guys didn’t know their self titled sophomore album is in stores now!
It’s been quite some time since we’ve heard new music from Bon Iver. Offered below is their new single which is off the group’s self entitled album which is slated for a June 21st release. I for one think it was worth the wait, quite refreshing to hear and has me anticipating what else the group has in store for us.
