I been waiting for this to come out for so long. It dropped on my birthday. Yeah, that was a good look. Took the time to listen to it over the weekend. This is a great mixtape.

For all old school hip-hop enthusiasts: remember when our music was balanced? I know I do. We always had the artists that were street, educational, and even abstract. Nowadays, radio wants you to homogenize and standardize your ears. They want you listen to the same thing, expecting you to think that is all that exists.

Yet, true heads know the real. We understand that these times need a music that is diverse. We understand that our ears deserve a dose of fantasy AND reality. We want to listen to people like Add-2, the up and coming Chicago emcee. With Save.Our.Souls., he gets to demonstrate what much of music doesn’t realize it misses: a regular cat that kicks reality and spits that Dylan (i.e. hot fire).
