With many singles under his belt, a newly released mix tape titled “Sleeping With Demons,” a team you would kill for, and a mind out of this world I find him fascinating. Yes he’s your everyday teenage boy next door, going to school, hanging out with the homies, and looking for bad broads to bone but theirs more to him than just that. In those few ways he might be ordinary but inside the booth, and on paper he’s more like extraordinary.

The Cool Kids recently performed at the University of West Georgia. What better way to celebrate going back to school, than witnessing one of the Midwest’s best hip hop acts, at a place of learning? Mikey Rocks and Chuck Inglish gave the incoming students a definite end-of-summer morale boost.
You ever hear a song so cool that you have to play over and over again? This is one of ‘em. Definitely a track for fans of 90′s hip hop, or good music in general. Just listen, and feel good. Rest in peace, Charizma.

Freddie Gibbs is the man right now. Check out his new video for Do Wrong Part 2 off the recently released Str8 Killa EP. Critics have been giving the EP rave reviews for the past few weeks. It’s definitely worth checking out. Gibbs’ style of hip hop is more reminiscent of 90′s rap, but that’s no slight in his case. He’s a positive throwback to that time in music.
