For the 3rd and final leak off Blu & Nottz’s six track collaborative EP, Gods In The Spirit, which becomes available on October 22nd via Coalmine Records, the emcee/producer duo are pleased to present “Crooks In Castles,” featuring ANTHM, Homeboy Sandman, Sene and Johaz.
The word loquacious comes to mind when I think of Homeboy Sandman. With that said, listen to him flip words for the sake of alliteration, flow, and sequence. Also, YC and I Am Many do their collective “thang” as well. Just enjoy, people.
The plot thickens, eh? I am always trying to hear anything from Homeboy Sandman. His lyrical dynamics always intrigue me. Yet, he is always making something meaningful and relevant. I wish more gave his type of conviction towards greatness.
I must say: this is a pretty damn dope ass posse cut. I’m not sure if I should say any more than that. Just press play and listen to the lyrics. Effortlessly astounding. You know one of those cuts where people come hard, yet in the easiest manner? This would be it.
Homeboy Sandman gives you a glimpse inside is mind and motivation. He talks about family, stress, and what motivates him to rap. He even calls teaching “a real job” (which it is). I’m glad there are artists out there like him. This is good stuff.
Homeboy Sandman makes use of some great music off of his Chimera EP. This song is quite inspirational. Time travel, lottery tickets, and the idea of making it is interwoven into a video most can understand. I love this!
I still feel that this EP of his is kinda slept on. And to honor the slept on greatness of this EP, I am posting The Miracle. This song is just about him intertwining dope rhymes into a seamless flow of consciousness. Just let the words engulf you.
And these guys got me politicking with them in the beginning of the video? Wow. And they took footage of a bevy of artists that I was paying attention to the whole time. Those are some cool ass brothers. And yes, they are much funnier in person. I do agree with Beezy’s statement: The A3C Festival is like a “hip hop Disneyland”. You had so much going on at one time it was ridiculous trying to catch it all.
