J. Cole x Nike = KD Paint the Town

This is heartwarming. With Sammy Sam Cooke in the background, you have to respect something like this. Plus, the J. Cole cameo always helps.

From Youtube:

Kevin Durant embodies an unstoppable passion for the game. So with a soundtrack provided by the legendary vocalist Sam Cooke, Kevin Durant takes to the Oklahoma City streets to show that Basketball Never Stops for any of us.

Omen feat. J. Cole – Mama Told Me

Let me keep it real: Omen really goes in. And J. Cole goes in even more. A somber, deep song dedicated to their mothers and how they made them look at themselves and their own lives.

Side note: J. Cole can wear his feelings and emotions on his sleeves with the best of them. He probably doesn’t even shed tears because he lets the song cry. Simba has learned a lot from Jay-Z.

In The Studio: The Making Of J. Cole’s Cole World: The Sideline Story

I thought this was pretty cool. A majority of this video is of Cole in the studio but the narration is provided by Jay-Z. We’re given a behind the scenes look courtesy of Gneiss Pictures into the making of Jermaine’s debut album. Cole World: The Sideline Story is currently in stores and on iTunes so please make sure you support this talented fella, this album’s worth it guys!

Dead End Hip Hop reviews J. Cole’s Cole World

Like I keep telling people: J. Cole’s album is great. On the low, all of them are saying that the album is great. People just haven’t realized that J. Cole makes music that “works”. Period.

On another note, below is the video about “hating vs. criticism”. I do find this claim of calling everyone that doesn’t agree/like what you/anyone else do/does as “hating” or “being a hater is asinine. In the end, if you don’t like something you don’t like it. If you are not trying to knock someone down a notch, or if you dislike something for REAL reasons, then you aren’t a hater. Haters try to downplay the success of people. Also, haters don’t even come with real reasons to dislike something. This is showing a real problem with society: people need to let others have their own beliefs, self-concepts, and criticisms. People need to stop expecting others to follow them.

J. Cole- Daddy’s Little Girl (official video)

Geez, the upload quality of this is kinda shoddy. However, this is a great video for the song that is on his new album. Many may want to dislike. And they can do that. But this is an important song off of an important album. Don’t believe me. Buy the album this Tuesday for yourself. And just listen.

J. Cole brings out Kendrick Lamar at Club Nokia

Wait, so J. Cole produced “HiiiPower”? Oh. That explains a lot.

So, Simba brought you Kendrick to spit the song and “P&P” for the crowd in Los Angeles. He even took the time to spit “Enchanted” while Kendrick assisted. Man, nothing better than some real hip hop for the ears of fans.

J. Cole x Toronto- God’s Gift

J. Cole was in Toronto at Canadialand’s South Academy performing a never-truly-heard song from The Sideline Story. From the sounds of it, it will probably be one of those heralded jams that J. Cole is known for. I bet you bottom dollar that this album is better than that Lackluster Wayne Cartier IV. Whatever the case may be, please listen closely and enjoy. Shouts to HustleGRL.com.

J. Cole feat. Trey Songz- Can’t Get Enough

This is a radio single? I think it could work. I’m not sure if the radio is ready for J. Cole, though. The Trey Songz feature is more of a background accent than a vocal performance in my eyes. Meaning: the vocals match up with the beat to not overpower the song by J. Cole. Therefore, there is more focus on J. Cole’s lyrics. Hear for yourself, people.

Purchase on I-Tunes for support!

J. Cole – Work Out

I’m sure many of us are eagerly anticipating what Roc Nation’s boy wonder has up his sleeve come September 27 when his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story is set to drop BUT to hold us over we’re given visuals for his latest single “Work Out.” The track is produced by Cole and the video takes me back to a 90s feel, shooting some hoops on the court then taking it to the club. A formula I think many can relate to.
