Old man beef is alive and well in the world of professional wrestling. Kevin Nash has challenged Ultimate Warrior to a fight. Nash tweeted the Warrior, issuing a challenge to a 3-round MMA fight with $100,000 on the line.
When asked by a fan why Warrior doesn’t dye his hair and have another run in WWE like Kevin Nash, Warrior replied “I’m not a dickhead who thrives on stealing the limelight from young guys.”
Kevin Nash continued his 140 character belittlement. Nash challenged Warrior to a MMA style fight the day before WrestleMania.
Not to be out done by Kevin Nash, Warrior responded via his Youtube page.
Whether or not or both Nash and Warrior have buried, destroyed or held down other wrestlers is up for debate. I do remember Warrior no-selling the pedigree at WrestleMania 12 but the Warrior didnt have feuds with the Champion when he returned in 1996.
I think rumors of that are over blown by the few people effected by Nash. I do think Kevin Nash was used wrong when he came back and cost CM Punk his first WWE championship. Punk and Nash’s cadences are vastly different. Nash is too big and is used to WWF style promos and WWF bodies. Somebody should have knew it would fail like it did. from jump make Nash feud with Cena…make Nash punks bodyguard or something but don’t put somebody too big and too old school with someone like punk who’s smaller and new school. It would have made a lot more sense than Nash coming back to make sure the company keeps the belt in house because his pal is in office.
If you wanna talk the name test like who would recognize the name more its Warrior. But it was a flash 3 years and gone. If Warrior came back, the TV would be white hot for a month, until you ask him to wrestle or the comeback shock wears off.
Nash would give you more over a longer stretch like he can be in more programs, help backstage stuff like that, Warrior you get a week buildup, the hot comeback, 2 weeks to see what he actually does and the last week of the late bloomers and people to jump off the wagon.
At the end of the day this is about one guy who doesn’t know when to retire and the other who never really liked the wrestling business even when he was in wrestling. Warrior is money hungry and Nash can blow out his quads sitting on a toilet squeezing out a turd.
Thank goodness for DVR, the invention really is a lifesaver. For numerous reason DVR is a helpful tool the fast forward factor is very underrated. Now your thinking did he really breeze through RAW, will this review be total shit? No heres why.
I speed through the fluff now that could be most if not all of the program, yet I still have faith so with remote in hand lets start GO….. Triple H started off Monday Night RAW, Im getting flash backs of 2003. In 03 hunter had beef with both HBK and Kevin Nash. 8 years later the old man beef continues.
Triple H said that he could make friends or make money. He said he’s always lived by those words. Hunter said he considered himself the lucky one who was able to make money and have a strong group of friends. He mentioned Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman, and Kevin Nash. No mention of Scott Hall, REALLY Hunter.. Not cool bro not cool.
Buy this point the crowd eating out of Hunters hands. Hunter said Kevin Nash broke my heart,” The broken hearted went on to say he wants to kick Nash’s ass. Johnny Ace makes an appearance and stared to say something raspy but Hunter told Laurinaitis to shut up and not walk through the ropes. Hunter said Laurinaitis’s job for tonight was to search the building and find Nash, and bring him to the ring.
So I just watched the entire Vengeance pay-per-veiw WWE held last Sunday, I know its Thursday but I work late… I know this review is a few days late you wanna fight about it? WWE should have entitled this PPV Jank city, I would have watched Desprate House Wives over what I streamed for free Sunday. Before Sunday the last time WWE held Vengeance was on the weekend of the Chris Benoit double murder and suicide case. Benoit, who was originally booked to face CM Punk for the vacant ECW World Championship, but no-showed due to “personal reasons”. This PPV should have stayed Benoit’d
The card did not have any matches I cared to see other than The tag team title match and Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes. Its not that I didn’t like the PPV all the matches were solid, I just got the feeling this was the fluff PPV since no titles changed hands and most feuds will continue on for Survivor Series.
Tag Team Title match Air Boom vs Dolph Ziggler/Jack Swagger: Great back and fourth between both teams. Kingston hit Trouble in paradise on Ziggler, Bourne followed up with AirBourne for the pin. I have lost count how many times I have said that Zigg’s and Swagger are a great pairing. Zigg’s and Swagger are entertaining to watch, but I think Ziggs is better suited a a singles wrestler anyone else get the Curt Hennig vibe when watching Ziggler?
This week on RAW, Kevin Nash tried to make a drunken insult about Punk’s appearance. Saying that Punk looked liked a “Cook from Waffle House”. Punk replied “I like waffles”. Then for the fuck of it, I went on Wikipedia, looked up The Waffle House and saw the power of Punk. Once again Punk takes over the internet. I can go for a waffle right now. It’s been a while since I had one. Let’s eat waffles. Fuck pancakes this week.
Hey Scunge take a sec to peep the touching, heartfelt, poignant retirement speech of a great worker, nice guy, original Horsemen and my favorite bump and feeder of all time; “The Enforcer”, “Double A”, Arn Anderson.
Now watch this fuckin hilarious video of Kevin Nash and the nWo mock it while comedy ensues.
The NWO shook WWF, when WCW started going with this storyline it was so fresh. It was something never done before, I always dug these promos here is one of the early NWO promos. These promos still hold up IMO.
