PhonyPPL – Phonyland

Hey come close, I want you to meet my band from Brooklyn, PhonyPPL. They literally just released their new album Phonyland like 45 minutes ago! This album is 3-years in the making, that right there should have you all sold. So on that note, everyone should be in the process of downloading this album right now by clicking here! Dead End Hip Hop Presents…DEMOS Documentary: Inside Look

Dead End Hip Hop (the big homies) got to reach out to Kareem Fort about his recent documentary called Demos. It is a how-to guide for up and coming independent artists that are trying to make things happen in the musical world. He basically waxes poetic about realizing the reasons you want to be in the industry, meeting DJ Quik, chillin’ with Terrace Martin, and the wisdom that helped made this documentary happen. I guess I need to take the time out and see what this documentary is all about. There are plenty of featured artists that I am a fan of.

Katy B – Witches Brew

For those not in the know, Katy B is the queen of the UK dance scene. This talented singer-songwriter just put out her new video for Witches Brew, the fifth single from her latest LP, On A Mission. It’s one of the most acclaimed albums of 2011, and finally gets a U.S. release on September 13. In the video for Witches Brew, Katy portrays a (give it a wild guess) witch who puts a very lucky dude under her clutches. She sings to him, “come with me and I’ll make you feel so good”. Swoon. I’d love to switch places with the guy. Sexiest witch ever. If Katy B was more popular, she’d be the inspiration for many Halloween costumes this year.

It’s sorta like Twilight, except it’s good.

Lykke Li Does Kanye West

During her latest tour, Swedish indie-pop artist Lykke Li has been performing a mash up of Youth Knows No Pain, with Kanye West’s Power. It makes for a very surreal concert experience. Check it out.

Lykke Li and Kanye West are no strangers to each other, as they collaborated on a track in the past. In 2009, the hip hop duo, N.A.S.A released their single Gifted, featuring West, Li, and Santogold. You can listen to that here.

TheDummy Presents: Q&A With Juno

Juno, is his name creating mix tapes, fucking bitches, and ripping through bars is just a little game he likes to play. With many singles under his belt, a newly released mix tape titled “Sleeping With Demons,” a team you would kill for, and a mind out of this world I find him fascinating. Yes he’s your everyday teenage boy next door, going to school, hanging out with the homies, and looking for bad broads to bone but theirs more to him than just that. In those few ways he might be ordinary but inside the booth, and on paper he’s more like extraordinary.
