And no, I am NOT down with celebrating that man’s death. However, I found it ironic that this snippet of a OB4CL2 leftover was released today. Production by Scram Jones.

Raekwon & Prodigy – Filming of Ferry Boat Killaz from LRG on Vimeo.
This video should be EPIC #STATENISLAND. Will Prodigy have a cameo “Ferry Boat Killaz”? I like to think so. We need a new joint venture from Chef & Prodigy.

The Staten Island part of me is always hyped when we get a nod. I mean when you think of Staten Island, the WU is one of the first things that comes to mind right ? Well maybe depends on your connotation of my Utopia.

Last night, Wu Tang’s Raekwon, returned to Shaolin to perform a free show in Mahoney Playground. Raekwon, who’s highly anticipated album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II is set to release on September 8th, played a short set featuring recognizable songs from his group’s debut, Enter The Wu Tang, as well as a few of his own tunes from 1995′s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. It was surprising he chose to perform only one track from his upcoming album. The crowd didn’t seem to mind though. They were just happy Rae was there, repping Staten Island to the fullest.
For those wondering if the beef with Joe Budden was addressed. Raekwon had the following to say about it…”We love Joe Budden.” Whatever that means.
Security was a little tight at the show. There were many Police officers about, and they used metal detectors on everybody before entering. Barricades were set up to keep the crowd about thirty feet from the stage. At one point, The Chef stated “I feel like the people are too far away from the stage, can we get them in closer? For real yo.” The big wigs behind the concert didn’t give him the green light, so Raekwon just decided to come to the people instead. He hopped off the stage and rushed to the front of the guardrail, and shook hands with his fans as he performed their favorite songs. It was easily the highlight of the show. Shortly after, he closed the set with a peaceful message, and claimed that Staten Island changed the Hip Hop game forever.

Joe Budden can’t catch a break, but he sure knows how to catch a punch right to the eye. According to dodgerhightop.com and a slew of other hip hop sources, Budden was backstage with Mickey Factz, filming a video blog at last nights Rock The Bells show in Los Angeles, when Raekwon and his crew approached him. After hostile words were shared, one of Raekwon’s friends punched Budden in the eye. It all stems from the recent beef between Joe and Method Man, and this specific video.

While Budden turned his camera off before the attack, Raekwon was accompanied by Ice Water TV, who recorded the whole thing. Perhaps footage of the actual punch will surface the internet at a later time. The following videos cover the aftermath of the altercation and Budden’s reaction, as well as a retelling of the incident by Mickey Factz.
No official word on the behalf of Raekwon just yet, but there will no doubt be more to this story coming soon. Earlier today, Joe seemed to be in good spirits and made light of the situation via Twitter.

At least he has a sense of humor.
