Stalley – The Night

I pray that Rick Ross doesn’t corrupt Stalley’s sound. He doesn’t need to make weird club music (Party Heart? That is a reach). He doesn’t need to be making other weird stuff. He needs to make the music he been making: intelligent trunk music. Rashad should be back on the boards. Ski Beatz needs to be involved, too. None of those over-produced, Lex Lugar influenced beats that we get to hear all the time. That won’t work.

Ski Beatz x Stalley – Gentleman’s Quarterly

Ski Beatz feat. Stalley-Gentleman’s Quarterly from DD172 on Vimeo.

This is a GREAT song! The sound and the feel of it is so plush and soothing. I hope that Ski makes sure that everything on his stuff is quality, though. They way that he makes songs desires some quality control. Not saying his stuff isn’t dope. Just saying that he cranks them out so fast that sometimes I think he needs to slow down. But what do I know? I’m only a blogger.

Stalley – Go On

Big Beard Stalley is going to keep pushing the songs off of Lincoln Way Nights until his new project drops. Hopefully, it is in the same vein as his previous work (intelligent trunk music). I don’t want it sounding like Wale’s stuff. That would be too much tampering. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Stalley – 330 (Video)

Shouts to hiphopdx.com for the video pluggage.

Stalley’s mixtape has been making its rounds. This collection of music has made him go from a midwestern man spitting intelligent trunk music to being a strange piece of the Maybach Music Group. As odd ball as Stalley seems within that conglomerate of emcees, he is able to hold his own and create his own fan base. This video is proof of this.

Peace to Ohio.

Stalley featuring Freeway – Jungle

I have no idea how THIS did not make it to the Lincoln Way Nights mixtape. It is being rereleased for the people that missed it the first time. Also, Freeway gets to drop his own knowledge on the track. Stalley may not be appreciated by all. However, you can say that he still stays working Well, that and making hot music most can respect.

Stalley – Assasin (trailer)

Yes! More Stalley for your eyes to bear witness to. I wonder who he is trying to take out in this video. Better yet, who is the other guy trying to take out? I don’t know and I am still interested in finding out.

Stalley – Sound of Silence

I don’t care if he is signed to Maybach Music, you chumps are sleeping on Stalley. This midwest intelligent trunk music is something for all ages, races, and economic backgrounds. This is American as apple pie, breast love, and capitalism. Stalley needs to just crank out classics from here on in. That is all.

Stalley- 330 (Live performance)

I wish I would have gotten to see the crowd reaction. However, this is a favorite off of “Lincoln Way Nights”. He really goes in about Ohio. Repping the midwest is one of my, and Stalley’s, best attributes. There is nothing like that midwest hunger (opinion).

Stalley – Chevys and Space Ships

I’ve been a fan of this Ohio native for the past two years now. What I love about Stalley is that he puts thought and time into each and every project he drops making each mixtape worthy of a billion plays on my iPod. He incorporates these great jazz sounds that leads me to believe that his musical knowledge extends way past Hip Hop. Today, we’re given visuals directed by Illusive Media which are extremely trippy indeed! I’m excited to hear what Stalley has in store for us in the near future, he’s done nothing but be consistently impressive.

Stalley – Pound

Shout out to Worldstarhiphop.com for the uploading of this visual treatment for Pound. Stalley’s Lincoln Way Nights is one of the most slept on mixtapes out right now (besides Sir Michael Rocks’ The Rocks Report). Filled with that “intelligent trunk music”, there is little wonder as to why Rick Rozay signed him. Now, you get to see part of the reason. This guy has thoroughly thoughtful resolve.
