New Jersey’s The ILLZ has FINALLY returned with some new music which makes my ears smile. He is planning to release his new project The Darkest Hour soon, fans can request an advanced copy and listen to it first here! He definitely hit a chord with this line ”I wanna dream while I’m wide awake” .

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I have to give praise to The ILLZ and his team for consistently managing to create stories with their videos ans his lyrics. I think the best type of MC is that of a storyteller, someone who can captivate my attention with his words and his delivery and hands down without question that is The ILLZ.
Up top, we’re given the lastest visuals which is about loss. The nightmare has ended, but is replaced by a cold reality that is not much different. A letter proves the pain is in fact real, the separation is definite, that she is now ‘dead and gone’ to him.

The ILLZ – Darkside of The Room
I’ve been a fan of New Jersey’s own The ILLZ for about 2 years now. What I love about him is that he loves to push the boundaries and delve into new genres of music. If you follow him on twitter you know that his taste in music goes WAY beyond Hip-Hop and it’s definitely appreciated to see an artist go beyond the norm and take risks. I also love his videos, they’re like mini movies and he’s quite the actor. A triple threat if you ask me check out his latest video which is a portrayal of a love story..with a twist. Enjoy!

I’ve been rocking with the homie The ILLZ for well over 2 years now and it’s great to see his growth from then to now. Kristopher Rey-Talley is a genius at what he does as these visuals are simple yet quite powerful. This track is off his In Between Video Series (Mixtape) which dropped last summer and another indication to stop sleeping on this young man!
