Steve Jobs has done it yet again. The all new, redesigned iPad 2 is here… well almost here. The official release date of the gadget thats sweeping the fucking nation will arrive March 11, 2011 which is the U.S release date. The European release date will be held back a few days and arrive on a later date of March 25, 2011. Now Lets get into the facts, shall we.

I don’t want to sound like a tech geek but what the hell here goes nothing. The iPad 2 is exactly 33% thinner, x times smarter, weighs 1.3 pounds compared to its older brother who weighs 1.5 pounds, it features a rear and front face camera perfect for Face time, HD 720p recording, a 5x digital zoom, and last but certainly not least the new iPad 2 comes in white, and black. Im not sure about you but I will defiantly be investing in the white color way of the iPad 2… Black is so last iPad release date ago. LOL

A new cover has also been made for the iPad 2 that comes in multiple colors. The screen cover goes by the simple name  of SmartCover. Steve Jobs saying, “Its not a case its a cover”. Its basically a cover that magnetically connects to the iPad which covers the screen. When the screen cover is over the iPad screen it puts the Apple device to sleep, when the screen cover is open it turns the iPad on. So the  SmartCover works as a sensor to the iPad which explains its magnetic connection to the side.

Now I bet your thinking to your self… Well, what is the price of the iPad 2, and the SmartCover ? The iPad 2 starts at $499 for the 16GB and goes up to $829 for the WiFi+3G 64GB. The SmartCovers will start off at the lower end of $39 for the plastic, and $69 for the genuine leather.
