Sylvester Stallone is co-producing “Rocky: The Musical,” based on the greatest film ever. Sly appeared alongside his co-producers, Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, at a press event in Hamburg, Germany, where the musical is set to open in November 2012. Sly and company are going to focus more on the love story between Rocky and Adrian. The world champion Klitschko brothers will help train the performers in boxing maneuvers.
“At the end of the day, Rocky is a love story and he could never have reached the final bell without Adrian,” said Stallone. “To see this story coming to life on a musical stage makes me proud. And it would make Rocky proud.”
I cant speak for anyone else…Ok maybe I can for Joe So Delicious but I am totally excited, for a Rocky Musical. If Seussical was a reality then Sly can bring Rocky to Broadway. I really need to hear a song dedicated to You’re gonna eat lightning and crap THUNDER!
I would love to see the beach scene from 3, re done for theater. Id actually give a shit about going to see a play.
As long as the actor mumbles, punches slabs of beef, chasing chickens, runs on the beach, running up a mountain in snowy Siberia I will be a happy camper. Clearly my imagination is running wild, this might be complete shit or a Tony-Award winning masterpiece.
