King or The Fool, An Opera Vol.I (a soul opera is what Tony William’s call it) follows in the tradition of the rock operas of the 70′s like Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” or David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” in that a drama unfolds with a soundtrack as it’s backdrop. The storyline was introduced on Tony’s January 2012 mixtape SOME OF MY BEST RAPPERS ARE FRIENDS
In the song “Rainy Day”. The opera centers around The World Famous Tony Williams’ alter ego who so fittingly goes by the name Tony King (or the fool) and how he becomes acquainted with Raquel Rene Jackson-Smith III at the bus stop one rainy day and the roller coaster relationship that ensues. ”Rainy Day” tells us how it all began and is illustrated by Joonbug Lenworth McIntosh and features Ingrea Abbera. and is directed by John Stewart and Nick Lee.
